The highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie ‘Captain Marvel’ has finally hit theatres across the world. Marvel fans everywhere know never to leave the cinema straight after the movie due to the usual mid-credit/post-credit scenes. But does Captain Marvel have any? The answer is YES. There is one mid-credit scene and one post-credit scene at the very end. So DO NOT leave the cinema screen early at all.
Now to the juicy stuff: What happens in the after credit scenes?
So obviously spoilers below, so if you don’t want to know what happens then stop scrolling and check out our latest article on Avengers: Endgame and what we now so far.
We get one of the most exciting mid-credit scenes ever. It starts off after the events of Infinity War, The pager Nick Fury used to call Carol is connected to some sort of device at Avengers HQ. The scene cuts to Captain America and Black Widow also at Avengers HQ, they’re watching the death tolls rise across the world while discussing how much of a nightmare it is. Rhodey then comes in saying how the pager has suddenly turned off. The scene then cuts to Captain America, Black Widow, Rhodey and Bruce Banner all looking at the pager, Cap says to reboot the battery to get the signal working again and Natasha mentions how she wants to know who’s on the other end of the pager, until she turns around and standing right there is Captain Marvel her self. She looks at them and asks “Where is Fury”.
What it means:
Captain Marvel answered Nick Fury’s call and she’s now introduced to four of the currently disbanded Avengers. This is a direct set-up for the events of Avengers: Endgame and the most logical thing to happen following this scene is a team-up between Captain Marvel and the rest of the surviving Avengers.
The post-credit scene is not as exciting and more light-hearted. All it shows is The famous ‘Goose’ Cat/Flerken jump up onto Nick Fury’s desk and throw up the Tesseract. (He swallowed it during the movie).
