Zombieland 2: Double Tap Is Heart-Warming

Since its initial release in 2009, talk of a sequel has been floating around for nearly 10 years and its finally here. Zombieland: Double Tap is definitely no trick for audience members and instead is one of this years biggest treats. The sequel feels necessary and welcomed, people are enjoying it and as a whole it tries its upmost best to offer audiences something new to its counterpart. It would be no use arguing if it’s better than the original because that will always be subjective, instead let’s focus on what this sequel actually has to offer as it’s own film.

Zombieland: Double Tap is Touching.

Zombieland 2 follows survivors and now professional zombie-killers Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock in a world run by the dead. However, just like the original, this zombie-flick offers much more than death, blood and the undead and instead explores the meaning of what makes a family, a family. Sure, it’s a Zombieland film, its no cinematic masterpiece but that doesn’t matter, this film is silly yet inspirational and despite some negatives, it’s well worth the watch.

The action sequences are insane, the comedy is top-notch and the performances are nothing short of brilliant yet the thing that will strike audiences the most is how passionate and moving this movie truly is. The story follows four survivors forming their own family and finding out what that means through the process. You’re in love with the characters and you care for them, the people who made this movie know that too so they go to the effort of teasing us with possible untimely deaths while tugging on our heart-strings over all. Who would of thought it: a Zombieland film nearly makes you cry, wow.

Zombieland 2 Is Not A Bad Sequel:

Zombieland is special and offers something that most zombie films can’t. It’s a fun, lighthearted, yet touching film which isn’t just another ‘bad sequel’. If you’re a fan of the original, fan of zombies or even just want to see a film that’s not scary this halloween, this is the movie for you this October. Go see Zombieland: Double Tap, you won’t regret it.
