It’s back! Killing Eve has returned to our screens just when we needed it. Setting us up for a thrilling third series, the first episode ‘Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey’ starts with the twists and turns of a gymnast on uneven bars, giving us a taste of what’s to come.
Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey
The first episode sets the scene of bright, vibrant Spain with an accomplished Villanelle as opposed to dark dreary London, where Eve is still recovering.
We are quickly reintroduced to the characters we know and love, Villanelle (Jodie Comer) can be seen giving a toast about her dead ex when an unexpected visitor, Dasha (Harriet Walter) turns up.
Eve (Sandra Oh) is very much alive (I’m sure that’s not a spoiler when it was all over the trailers, right!?) with a very different living situation after the chaos series 2 left in its wake.

Twists and Turns Ahead
Killing Eve begins rather leisurely this series but as I said, you’re in for a few twists, turns and shocks.
As always it is beautifully shot, a feast for the eyes with a lavish Spanish wedding, colourful fight scenes and the usual artistic flair of murder.
I for one am particularly excited about Villanelle’s expansive wardrobe, her sleek and garish style will certainly continue this series if the trailer is anything to go by.
The chemistry that undoubtedly drives the show is between Eve and Villanelle, I’m sure it won’t be long before they are violently thrust back into each other’s lives, but we have to be patient as episodes are being released weekly.
More To Come…
This series has eight episodes airing at the same time as America so you’re less likely to see spoilers. I’m not used to exercising restraint when watching my favourite shows but it’s certainly something to look forward to each week during isolation. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store!
