Keeping happy is important, films are brilliant at lifting our spirits and staying positive at the worst of times. So below we have listed just five of the best feel-good films on Netflix and Amazon Prime ready to stream right now.

1.) The Big Sick (Amazon Prime)

Amazon Prime's The Big Sick: Feel Good Movie

Synopsis: Kumail is a Pakistani comic, who meets an American graduate student named Emily at one of his stand-up shows. As their relationship blossoms, he soon becomes worried about what his traditional Muslim parents will think of her. When Emily suddenly comes down with an illness that leaves her in a coma, Kumail finds himself developing a bond with her deeply concerned mother and father.

A beautiful story which was written by Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani, loosely on the story of how they met before they married. Knowing this story is true and written by the two lovers themselves is one thing, to watch the film and experience that emotional rollercoaster for yourself is another. Perfectly written, excellent performances and burning with passion. The Big Sick is one of the finest feel good films you’ll ever watch.

But as success mounts, they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

An absolute classic. Even if you’re not into the whole singing and dancing stuff this has something for everyone. La La Land is the ultimate feel-good film and one you’ll be able to watch over and over and over again. If you haven’t watched it yet, please give it a go.

3.) The Nice Guys (Amazon Prime)

What more could you want than a Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe team-up? This film is quite frankly hilarious, bizarre and worth a watch. In fact, it’s an absolute tragedy that a sequel still hasn’t been announced.

Netflix The Fundamentals Of Caring

Synopsis: A writer (Paul Rudd) retires after a personal tragedy and becomes a disabled teen’s caregiver. When the two embark on an impromptu road trip, their ability to cope is tested as they start to understand the importance of hope and friendship.

This film brings something slightly different to the feel-good genre. Paul Rudd, Selena Gomez and Craig Roberts is quite the peculiar line up and with added dark humour and quite a raw feel, this film is one you won’t forget.

5.) Eddie The Eagle (Netflix)
