It’s OFFICIALLY SPOOKY SEASON! October is the time for some Netflix and Chills and when you want to grab some popcorn, huddle with your friends and get freaked out by some creepy films, or simply some movies to keep you cosy from the miserable weather.

There are so many Halloween films to watch on Netflix right now, it’s hard to know which ones are worth watching.

Not to worry, We’ve got you covered with some of these scary, and not so scary Halloween movies to watch this October. Tried and tested.

1.) The Corpse Bride

This classic Tim Burton stop motion film is one for the rainy day. It has a lot of classic Halloween vibes—making this a great Halloween movie for someone who wants slightly spooky, but not straight horror.

Scary Rating: Not so scary.

2.) In The Tall Grass

Spooky, suspenseful and STRESSFUL. This is based on a novella co-written by Stephen King, and this slow burner is sure to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Scary Rating: Scary.

3.) Hubie Halloween

A film to give you that cosy Halloween feels, this comedy horror is certainly one for the Sandler fans, or for those that just want a bit of spook and a lot of giggles.

Scary Rating: Not so scary.

4.) Hereditary

A24's Hereditary - Netflix Horror Movie

This film will have you on the edge of your seat and will leave you feeling very unsettled. Just what you want this Halloween! Warning, not for the faint of heart.

Scary Rating: Isn’t just scary. It’s much much worse.

5.) The Haunting Of Hill House

The Haunting Of Hill House - Netflix Horrors this Halloween

OKAY, this is a series but if you binge-watch it its technically just a super long movie. This is definitely one to watch this October, there’s not very many horror series out there and I personally don’t think there should be, watching one horror episode EVERY NIGHT is not good for your sleep pattern.

But its a truly amazing series, terrifying, but with more depth and characters you really care about, which makes it all the more scary.

Scary Rating: Scary.
